Our Purpose
Every medical review is unique but all FamilyEducation content that falls into the following categories:
- Pregnancy health
- Child illness, conditions, and health
- Family genetics
… will be reported, sourced and verified to the best of our abilities at the time of publication.
Our board of medical experts reviews articles for factual and medical accuracy, relevance, and timeliness. They also ensure we're using the most current and reputable sources, both cited in the text and listed at the bottom of each article.
Our Process
Our reporting process includes the following:
- Conducting thorough research through the use of highly credible government organizations and medical research agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organisation, the National Institute of Health, and the National Health Service (NHS).
- Searching online medical databases and peer-reviewed medical journals that are run by the above agencies, such as PubMed.
- Reaching out to parties including relevant medical experts to include their perspectives.
- Reviewing medical publications, academic studies and clinical trials, and other verified data and documentation.
- Regularly reviewing and updating our medical-related content in line with the latest research and evidence-based findings in order to reflect the most current and accurate medical information.
Corrections
From time to time, mistakes happen. FamilyEducation issues corrections with the appropriate transparency as quickly as possible if an error has occurred. The date on which the article was last medically reviewed and updated will always be added to the published article.
Readers or medical experts can bring errors to our attention by emailing us at content@familyeducation.com or by sending us a direct message on any of our FamilyEducation social channels. We may not respond in cases where the correction cannot be verified.
